Model ship HMS AGAMEMNON, complete mounted in wood, handmade
Whole length approx. 90 cm, hull length approx. 80 cm, hull width approx. 18 cm, height approx. 74 cm
This is the reproduction of the HMS AGAMEMNON: a Royal Navy third rate ship on the line with an arnament of 64 guns. She was built in the New Forest and launched on 10th April 1781. She took part in the American War of Independance. Then from 1793 to 1796 during the French Revolution she was part of the Mediterranean Fleet in Korsika with Admiral Nelson. In 1805 she took part of the Trafalgar war and then in 1809 she grounded on an unmarked reef in the River Plate during a storm.
The model ship is already assembled handmade, planked on frame.
Sails are in linen and can be tightened.
